PARIS: Menteri Luar Jerman, Annalena Baerbock menegaskan kerajaannya tidak akan sesekali menghalang Poland jika negara itu mahu menghantar kereta kebal Leopard 2 ke Ukraine.
“Buat masa ini, soalan demikian belum muncul lagi namun jika ditanya maka kami tidak akan menghalangnya,” katanya kepada saluran LCI TV. Komen pemimpin itu jauh berbeza dengan kenyataan Canselor Jerman, Olaf Scholz pada sidang kemuncak di Paris yang menegaskan semua keputusan mengenai penghantaran senjata akan dilakukan secara rundingan bersama sekutu termasuk Amerika Syarikat .
Namun, setakat ini, Berlin tidak membuat penghantaran mahupun membenarkan negara Pertubuhan Perjanjian Atlantik Utara yang lain melakukan demikian.Bagaimanapun, parti Demokrat Sosial dibawah pimpinan Scholz dilihat `skeptikal’ dengan penglibatan tentera dan berwaspada dalam langkah yang boleh menyebabkan serangan Moscow semakin meningkat.
