Jeremy Renner revealed to Us Weekly that he shut down a romantic storyline between ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ characters Mike and Iris

Sorry, Mayor of Kingstown fans, Jeremy Renner is not on board with a possible romance between Mike and Iris.

“They asked about writing , and I just thought it goes against the purity Mike and that relationship,” Renner shared while promoting his partnership with Silk. “You can still have love for people, you can still take care of them and look after them. Doesn't mean you have to hook up.” While the show’s intense third season is coming to an end, Renner promised Us an “amazing” season finale.“There's a lot going on. I don't know if it ends well, but it certainly ends,” the actor teased. “It's exciting. It's been a great season, and I can tell you that we are definitely doing another season for sure.'

“I think after this season, we had a really good appetite for how we left it,” he continued. “There's got to be another one around the corner. It's just how and when.”
