The five-star freshman receiver might’ve started slow with a drop and a penalty on back-to-back plays, but he quickly got going after that. He finished a 52-6 win over Akron with six catches for 92 yards and two touchdowns. One of those touchdowns he saw coming months in advance.“Who wants to place a bet? “Right here,” Smith responded, while pointing to the front left corner of the endzone located directly in front of the tunnel he’d soon walk down as a Buckeye.for 18 yards. Not only was it his first score, but it was the team’s first of the season as well.
