Padres reliever Jeremiah Estrada, a waiver claim in November, strikes out the side to save Triple-A El Paso's win
More outings like Tuesday’s and Jeremiah Estrada could force his way back into the Padres’ late-inning relief conversation before long. The 25-year-old right-hander struck out all three hitters he faced for Triple-A El Paso, earning his first save of the season in a 3-1 win at Sacramento. Estrada has a 2.45 ERA through his first four appearances with the Chihuahuas.
Arkansas 6, Missions 3: LHP Austin Krob allowed four runs in four innings in the loss. He struck out four. All four of the Missions’ hits were singles. SS Ray-Patrick Didder went 1-for-1 with two walks, a run scored and a steal. RHP Reggie Lawson allowed an unearned run on one hit and two walks in the ninth.
Lake County 7, TinCaps 2: 2B Nerwilian Cedeño went 2-for-4 with his first home run and C Ethan Salas went 1-for-4 with his first double. CF Homer Bush Jr. went 1-for-4 with two steals, giving him four on the season. RHP Enmanuel Pinales struck out five and allowed a run on two hits and a walk in four innings in the start.
