Jennifer Lopez remembered Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg with former first lady Michelle Obama on Tuesday (Sept. 22).
. During their conversation, Lopez reflected on Justice Ginsburg's work in the Supreme Court and what she fought for in American society.
"I was a huge fan of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, I think you were too. She's an iconic American figure who stood up for women's rights, for equal rights," the pop star said, while asking Obama what she thought of her. "Barack and I were privileged to call her a friend. We had dinner with her and her husband. We would see her almost every holiday," Obama recalled."Just an amazing, amazing force of a woman. I have always been moved by just her story, of how she had a family, raised a family, then went back to law school and faced a level of discrimination." from complications from metastatic pancreatic cancer. She was 87.
Upon hearing about her passing, J.Lo shared a series of touching throwback photos of her and fiancé Alex Rodiguez first meeting RBG."I will always remember what she said to us the day we met her: 'Be the best you," Lopez wrote.
