Jennifer Hudson kicked off GlobalGoalUnite with a soaring performance of “Where Peaceful Waters Flow'

“The power of unity creates change,” Jennifer Hudson declared to begin the “Global Goal: Unite For Our Future” concert on Saturday . “So let’s keep coming together to create that change -- good change.” With that, the Oscar winner and R&B star launched into a moving performance of “Where Peaceful Waters Flow,” which was fittingly performed on the peaceful waters that cut across the heart of downtown Chicago. Hudson’s voice was predictably soaring as she sang with Gladys Knight staple with a smile and impeccable confidence.
“Global Goal” was designed to shed light on communities disproportionately affected by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. J Balvin, Miley Cyrus, Shakira, Justin Bieber and Chloe x Halle are among the other performers during the virtual event.
