Jennifer Aniston appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to discus her career and reminisce about working with Kris Kristofferson.

The actress recounted how she was about to cast the singer and actor in a short film she directed in 2006 called“I actually was lucky enough to direct my first short film, and, surprisingly, when we asked him, he said yes,” Aniston told Kimmel. “He and Robin Wright. And it was one of the most special experiences I’ve ever had.”
She added that she had Kristofferson in mind for the role. “It was an older man who was losing his wife at the time,” the actress said. “He was just an older man saying goodbye to his wife on her last and her final days in the hospital and he broke our hearts. He was extraordinary, really. And what a kind man.”, playing her character’s dad. “He came to my 40th birthday party,” Aniston said of their friendship on the film. “His wife and he flew in. He was a lovely man and it’s a huge loss.”.
She recalled showing up with a rose to a video store appearance, but not getting in. Instead, she followed the band to their hotel after theirperformance. “They never showed up,” the actress said. “But that’s what you get to do in the ’80s as a 12 year old. Your mom will let you know go out until God knows what hour of the morning until Duran Duran shows up.
