Jennifer Aniston spoke candidly about her 'extraordinary' hypnotist boyfriend Jim Curtis in a recent interview
“Hypnotism is one of the many things that he does,” Aniston, 56, said during her Elle Women of the Year cover story, published on Wednesday, November 12. “He’s quite extraordinary, and helps many, many people.
” She called Curtis “very special” and “very normal,” but didn’t offer more details about their relationship. “ wants to help people heal, move through their trauma and stagnation into clarity,” Aniston added. “It’s a beautiful thing to commit your life to.” Aniston was first romantically linked to Curtis, 50, this past July after going on a trip to Mallorca together. During the trip, Aniston and Curtis were photographed on a yacht alongside Jason Bateman and his wife, Amanda Anka. Multiple sources told Us Weekly at the time, however, that they had been quietly dating for months. “They are being super private but have been spending a lot of time together,” one insider shared. A second source called Curtis “the first guy Jen has been serious with in years.” Aniston was previously married to Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005 and to Justin Theroux from 2015 to 2018. Aniston is “in a good place” right now and “really happy” with Curtis, the second insider added. “It feels like a healthy, grown-up relationship, her friends think he’s brilliant.” The Friends alum first showed off Curtis to Instagram followers with a bit of a soft launch this past September. When posting a photo dump, she uploaded a photo of Curtis from behind. In November, she took things to the next level, celebrating his 50th birthday with a separate social media post.The black-and-white image featured Aniston wrapping her arms around Curtis’ waist. He had a giant grin on his face. Curtis is a health and wellness author along with hypnotherapist and life coach. One of Us’ sources explained in July how Aniston and Curtis formed a relationship over their shared beliefs. “Jen has been in a healthy and healing era for years now,” the insider explained. “She has completely shifted her mindset and life. She is very into health and fitness, and it’s something she and Jim have bonded over.” Earlier this month, Curtis shared advice to his social media followers about finding love over a certain age — noting that it’s never too late. There is “more confidence, more experience and more authenticity” going into a relationship over 40, he explained. “You are not old,” Curtis added, answering fan questions. “First, love yourself and recognize that you are the perfect age and that life is not over at 42. When you are 62 and 72, you will look back at 42 and wish that you were that age.” He added, “So start now, go out, open yourself to love, make eye contact and smile, connect with people, and most importantly, love yourself. When you love yourself, you will magnetize more love to you.”
