The Wednesday series made a major announcement recently with the news of Wednesday season 2's casting of Lady Gaga creating many possibilities regarding future storylines. The Wednesday cast has been expanded in preparation for its sophomore season, which is currently filming and expected to be released in 2025.
Jenna Ortega Already Mentioned How Wednesday Should Use Lady Gaga Wednesday's Lead Previously Suggested A Mentor Type Role For Gaga Close ✕ Remove Ads After Lady Gaga recreated the famous Wednesday dance on her TikTok, interest sprouted in her possibly becoming a part of the series in season 2.
Ortega hints at the possibility of Gaga taking on the role of a teacher who can understand her darkness. Furthermore, Netflix's iteration of Wednesday Addams still has plenty of room for character development and personal growth. If Wednesday were to have an adult in her life who could truly understand and relate to her at Nevermore, it would tremendously assist her character arc.
Ortega also reportedly said :" I think Mrs. Thornhill and Wednesday had this weird mentor relationship or kind of understood each other in a certain way ."
