Fischer recounted an instance where a paparazzo crashed his car into hers, yet failed to recognize her even after they exchanged information.
'I had to get out of my car and exchange information with them, and they never took my photo. That's how invisible I am to that world,' she exclaimed. Fischer also shared a humorous story about mistaking Amy Adams for herself at a party, demonstrating how easily she could be overlooked. She explained that she and Adams were both at the gathering and a man she was with accidentally put his arm around Adams, thinking she was Fischer.Fischer's ability to fly under the radar is particularly intriguing considering her fame during the run of 'The Office' from 2005 to 2013. 'So they got cold feet and they cast someone else. But when it didn't work out, they decided to cast Amy and just lean into the fact that she and I looked similar because that wasn't the idea behind the role at first.' Ultimately, the writers embraced the similarity, even exploring the possibility of a romance between Katy and Jim, played by John Krasinski.
