Jenna Bush Hager surprises Hoda Kotb for her 60th birthday with a painting of Hoda with her two daughters — painted by her father, George W. Bush!
TODAY's Hoda Kotb was moved to tears when Jenna Bush Hager presented her with an original painting by former President George W. Bush of her favorite picture with daughters Hope and Haley. Jenna presented the wrapped gift on the TODAY plaza Aug. 12 as part of the massive celebration of Hoda turning 60 on Friday, Aug. 9. The birthday festivities included surprise messages from Sandra Bullock, appearances from Hoda's best friends and a toast with her TODAY family.
Bush signed the painting '43' in red ink in the bottom right corner, a nod to being the 43rd president of the United States. Hoda has long said that becoming a mother was something she manifested. She adopted Hope and Haley in her 50s. “I remember vividly turning 50 and saying to myself, 'This life that you have is great and don’t ask for more because you're deserving of only what you have,' she recalled on TODAY Monday. 'I wondered if I was worthy of being a mother.
