The talkSPORT duo gave their verdict after Illan Meslier's mistake
TalkSPORT host Jeff Stelling has doubled down on his defence of Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier after his howler against Sunderland on Friday night.
The Whites could have gone of the league before Saturday's games, had the incident not occurred. Stelling took to social media to slam Leeds United players for not consoling Meslier after the goalkeeper's late blunder. Stelling says he received backlash from the Whites' faithful for that tweet, but has doubled down on his criticism this morning. “It’s fair to say that Leeds United fans – they absolutely battered me for trying to defend the goalkeeper,” he said on TalkSPORT .
