Jeff Davis confirmed when TeenWolfTheMovie is set in the franchise's timeline. 'It's 2026 actually. And right now, in the movie, Scott McCall is actually older than Tyler Posey. '
Teen Wolf creator Jeff Davis explains exactly where Teen Wolf: The Movie will fall on the timeline of the series. The show, which ran for 6 seasons and 100 total episodes between 2011 and 2017, was a dark reimagining of the classic 1984 Michael J. Fox comedy of the same name, following Scott McCall , a young man who becomes a werewolf and discovers that his hometown of Beacon Hills is a hub of supernatural activity.
Jeff Davis: I’m probably gonna get this wrong. Cause I did the timeline and I know what year the movie takes place. It’s 2026 actually. And right now, in the movie, Scott McCall is actually older than Tyler Posey.
