At around 4 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, officials of the Commission on Elections proclaimed Sandoval as the new Malabon City Mayor. Sandoval garnered a total of 94, 547 votes while her rival, Enzo Oreta garnered a total of 93,547 votes. “Nais kong magpasalamat sa lahat ng mga tumulong, sa lahat ng mga naniwala, nagbigay ng suporta at sasamahan ako para lumiwanag ang Maalabon ,” Sandoval said during the proclamation.
