In new divorce documents, Jeannie Mai accused Jeezy of child neglect and abuse, claiming he berated her and pushed her down a set of stairs.
, stating that they were living in a “bona fide state of separation” after two years of marriage. In a filing reviewed by the Cut, Mai detailed several incidents of alleged abuse. One, she claims, happened in Miami in January 2022, shortly after she’d given birth to the couple’s daughter. Her motion alleges Jeezy refused to let her leave a parked car, called her a “whore,” and hit her with a closed fist across her cheekbone and eye, giving her a subconjunctival hemorrhage.
Mai claims she and Jeezy spoke to their pastor and couple’s counselor about the first instance of domestic violence, and that Mai also told her therapist and best friend about what happened in Atlanta. The court documents include photos of injuries she alleges she sustained at some point during their marriage, when she claims Jeezy crashed a golf cart while drunk, hurting both himself and Mai.
Mai’s filing also accuses Jeezy of creating an unsafe environment for their 2-year-old daughter, who she claims was left unattended at home at least twice while under Jeezy’s care. Mai also accuses her ex of leaving guns and bullets in places their child could easily access. According to the filing, in October 2023, after they had filed for divorce, Monaco “found” Jeezy’s AK-47 assault rifle “in a zipped-up Louis Vuitton bag on the parties’ dining room floor.
