”—four creamy pink, berry, and brown shades that she mixes together and taps onto her wrist . “I feel naked without lipstick on,” she says, as she presses her finger to her pout to achieve “a bitten-lip effect,” using the leftover pigment on her nose, eyelids, and the apples of her cheeks. “You can never put on too much blush in the winter.” Come nighttime, Damas adds on a sweep of contouring bronzer—which “isn’t very French,” she notes—and a “classic Parisian red” lipstick bullet. “The trick is to put too much on,” she says as she haphazardly dabs the shade over her mouth, removing the excess with a Q-tip. “You can play around with [it] and make your lips a little bigger.” Before heading out, though, Damas reaches for one final—and unlikely—tool: scissors. “I get my hair cut by a hairdresser, but no one knows how to cut my bangs the way I do,” she says, as she snips up into—straight across—the middle of her fringe. “Be careful not to mess up . . . although it will grow back!” she adds with a laugh—a boon to any Americans looking to master the art of French-girl beauty.
