Longtime Democratic state senator Jean Breaux has died following an unspecified health complication. Indiana Senate Democratic leader Greg Taylor says in a statement that Breaux died Wednesday. In February, Breaux said through her office that she “encountered an infection of unknown origin” over the holiday season.
