KUALA LUMPUR: Nine-time Super League champions Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) will channel the proceeds from ticket sales of their Super League home matches this season to flood victims in Johor.
JDT chief executive officer Alistair Edwards said the Tunku Mahkota of Johor , Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, who is also the owner of the Southern Tigers, has instructed that proceeds from ticket sales for matches held at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium in Iskandar Puteri until the end of the Ramadan month be channelled to the flood victims.
“This involves Super League matches against Kelantan , Sabah , Kedah and the FA Cup tie against Police . “All the funds will be channelled to the flood victims through the district offices in Johor,” he said in a post on JDT’s official Facebook page. JDT currently top the Super League standings with nine points, with Sabah, who are second on goal difference. — Bernama
