Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph salutes Vietnam POWs, 49 years after they returned

The Air Force saluted former Vietnam prisoners of war with a flyover Friday at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph’s famed Taj Mahal building. The 560th Flying Training Squadron hosted its 49th annual Freedom Flyer reunion with a wreath-laying ceremony. The squadron has hosted the event since 1973, when the POWs returned home and many of them requalified as pilots.
