Jayne admitted she was surprised by the outfit choice
The new series of Dancing on Ice has already seen its fair share of controversy following complaints over former Love Island contestant Ekin-Su for her outfit choice After she performed what Holly Willoughby described as the 'sexiest dance ever' Ofcom received over 100 complaints and some viewers branded the performance 'inappropriate' for a show starting at 7pm.
Now Nottingham's Jayne Torvill, who is a judge on the show alongside Christopher Dean, Ashley Banjo and Oti Mabuse, has spoken out about the controversy. Jayne and Chris appeared on ITV's Loose Women on Friday and they discussed her outfit. , but speaking about the controversy surrounding her costume, Jayne told the Loose Women panel she understood why it was chosen, the Express reports.
“I was a little bit surprised, I have to say, but it was in keeping with the song and the Love Island connection so I see how that was,” she explained.“And in her skate off, she definitely deserved to go through.
