The Jacksonville Port Authority and Carnival Cruise Line reached an agreement to continue the cruise service from Jacksonville to The Bahamas into 2026, according to JAXPORT.

“The continued growth of our cruise program is another way we create jobs and economic impact for our region and state,” said JAXPORT CEO Eric Green. “JAXPORT has a longstanding partnership with Carnival, and we are grateful for their commitment to serving Jacksonville and providing even more reasons for tourists to visit our great city.”
The Carnival Elation, which can take up to 2,697 passengers, offers year-round sailing to The Bahamas from JAXPORT’s North Jacksonville Cruise Terminal. According to JAXPORT, more than 3 million passengers have sailed from Jacksonville since the Carnival cruise service started 20 years ago.Marcela joined News4JAX in 2023.
