Jason Tartick discussed how he 'randomly' found his neighbor in need after going outside to take a phone call
'I am a little shaken up right now. I just came to take a phone call and my next door neighbor was on the ground by his car,' Tartick, 36, explained in an Instagram video posted on Monday, November 11. 'I guess he had been out there for an hour and he has stage IV bone cancer and he couldn't get up.'
Tartick elaborated in the caption, writing, “Praying for Bert. I also never take calls outside, just randomly went out there for a call. Thank God I did.” Tartick later reflected on how 'rattled' he felt by the situation. Tartick was surprised to find out that his neighbor didn't have any immediate family. 'I was like, 'I have to let someone from his family know.' And he said he has no one,' he continued. 'He is getting X-rays on his leg because it might be broken. The nurse said he is not going anywhere in a while. Good news is he is in a safe space.'The most recent update from Tartick revealed that his neighbor broke his hip.
Tartick has used his platform to document his life after he was a contestant on season 14 of The Bachelorette. He later found love with season 11 Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe, whom he started dating in late 2018. After four years with Tartick, the former couple called off their engagement in August 2023.
