Jason is also a Chartered Psychologist and Editor-in-Chief for the Police Journal . Jason has worked in an academic role for the past sixteen years after previously working as a crime analyst for the UK Home office and at various Mental Health Services in the North of England.
Jason has published research on topics including; investigative decision-making, terrorism, cold-case homicide, crime prevention, and evolutionary psychology and crime, and has co-authored four books includingin 2016. His main areas of current research are in police and offender decision-making , preventing crime, investigating child homicide, and in maintaining and improving the wellbeing of those working in policing.
