\nWhen it comes to DC Studios co-heads James Gunn & Peter Safran, it's safe to say that they've reached the point where anything they say, respond to, 'like,' or hit with an emoji is going to be overanalyzed until the duo begins rolling our details on their 10-year DCU plans for Warner Bros. Discovery head David Zaslav and his team. But then we have instances where we don't have to do too deep a dive to figure out that some big news is on the way.
So when someone on Twitter tweeted the rumor that Jacob Elordi was being considered last week, Gunn used the opportunity to offer an overall update and some clarity on the film and casting. 'My thoughts are no one has been cast as Superman yet. Casting, as is almost always the case with me, will happen after the script is finished or close to finished, and it isn't.
