Jason Mohns, who created a dynasty like no other football coach in the modern Arizona high school history, is leaving Scottsdale Saguaro to join new coach Kenny Dillingham's staff at Arizona State.Mohns thanked Sabercat Nation in a lengthy Facebook post Monday morning, expressing his gratitude to be part of the program the last 16 years that included 12 state championships. He lastly thanked his wife and two children for always being there for him and sharing in his passion.

Saguaro Athletic Director Matt Harris will have the task of finding a replacement for a man who cultivated one of the most attractive high school football programs in the western United States. While attending Arizona State, where he graduated in 2004, Mohns founded the Scottsdale Argos, giving it the name in honor of his deceased father Greg Mohns, who once was an assistant coach under Frank Kush at ASU and was part of the Canadian Football League Toronto Argonauts' 1996 Grey Cup as assistant general manager and director of football operations.
