It’s not the first time that Leto and Michele have referenced their resemblance while walking a red carpet. For the 2018 Met Gala, the duowearing coordinating suits, lavishly embroidered in gold thread with swirling baroque patterns to reference that year’s theme of Catholicism. In 2019, Michele also posted a snap to Instagram of his summer vacation in which he and Leto were both sporting floral shirts and straw hats while gathering vegetables in an Italian field.
For tonight’s Met Gala, though, the pair clearly decided to take their analogous fashion alchemy to the next level – and it made for one of the evening’s most charming red carpet moments. When asked by red carpet host Hamish Bowles how to define their look, they answered simply: “Double trouble.” Sounds about right.
