Saso adds 2024 U.S. Women's Open title with a final round 2-under 68 at Lancaster Country Club
Yuka Saso, of Japan, tees off on the first hole during the third round of the 79th U.S. Women's Open on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the Lancaster Country Club in Lancaster, PA. Matthew O'Haren | Special to PennLive
When Saso’s tee shot at the challenging par-3 6th left her 51 feet from the hole, a four-putt appeared to derail her chances at another Harton S. Semple Trophy. Saso, the 22-year-old now the youngest two-time U.S. Women’s Open champion, won a record $2.4 million Sunday. American Ally Ewing fired a blistering bogey-free 66 to climb into a tie for third. Australian Hannah Green matched Ewing’s 4-under 66 on her final loop.
