ICYMI: Japan’s famous Shibuya crossing, an iconic landmark in the heart of Tokyo’s commercial district, turned pink after supporters of Filipino VP Leni Robredo marched to stand with the presidential candidate.
Photos from Team Leni Robredo Global Japan sent on Tuesday showed at least 250 supporters of Robredo and her running mate Senator Francis Pangilinan marching from Harunogawa Community Park and passing through several establishments and landmarks.Like in local Robredo rallies, several of the supporters also brought witty and quirky placards with them.
“The Shibuya Walk began at the Harunogawa Community Park and passed institutional landmarks such as the sprawling Yoyogi Koen and the extensive NHK Broadcasting Center grounds before entering the commercial center of Shibuya. Kakampinks came garbed in their signature color —pinkshirts, pink caps, pink masks, pink flaglets, pink fans, amongst others,” TLR Global Japan said in a statement.
