TOKYO: Japan's health ministry and local governments said the number of Covid-19 (coronavirus) cases in Japan stands at 7,292 with more than 700 new confirmed cases as of 6.30pm on Sunday (April 12).
The death toll in Japan from the pneumonia-causing virus currently stands at a total of 147 people, including 12 from the virus-hit Diamond Princess cruise ship.
Meanwhile, Osaka has recorded 766 cases, according to the latest figures, followed by Kanagawa with 544 infections.
