Los alpinistas pueden reservar sus plazas a través del sitio web oficial del Monte Fuji Climbing, gestionado conjuntamente por el Ministerio de Medio Ambiente y las dos prefecturas de Yamanashi y Shizuoka. El monte Fuji está dividido en 10 estaciones, y hay cuatro “5tas estaciones” a mitad de camino desde donde parten las cuatro rutas —Yoshida, Fujinomiya, Subashiri y Gotemba— hasta la cima.
