A school district responded after a janitor was arrested and charged with six felony counts of unlawful surveillance after a cell phone was discovered in a bathroom.
David Ague, 29, was arrested and charged with Unlawful Surveillance Tuesday, following the discovery of a cell phone, actively recording, by a Voorheesville Central School District staff member in the employee bathroom. The phone was allegedly discovered by a staff member hidden in a desk in the bathroom.
According to Sheriff Craig Apple, "the investigation has NOT revealed any recordings of students, but several electronic devices were seized from the subject's residence." Ague was arrested and released with appearance tickets as well as an order of protection for each faculty member.
