S. Rep. Scott Perry. Stelson, a former journalist, spoke to dozens of supporters in York County, where she outlined priorities that included passing a federal budget on time and withholding lawmakers’ pay if a budget is late, strengthening corruption investigations and imposing term limits. Stelson said she supports limiting service in Congress and vowed to limit her own time in office to 12 years. “Today, we have 24 members of Congress who are in their 80s and 90 is no good. I will say it is wrong, and it does not have to be this way. The Constitution restricts people who are too young from serving in federal office to be 25 to serve in the House. There are brilliant 24, 23, 22-year-olds, but it's not allowed,” Stelson said. Stelson is running to unseat Perry and narrowly lost to the seven-term congressman in 2024. Her campaign has received Gov. Josh Shapiro’s endorsement, along with backing from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, the party’s fundraising arm for House races. Even with that support, Stelson faces a primary opponent: Dauphin County Commissioner Justin Douglas, who has criticized her and the process, arguing it ignores grassroots voters.Asked to respond to claims that she has an unfair edge, Stelson pointed to her decision to leave her longtime career in journalism. “I don't know what that unfair advantage would be I left the job that I have loved for more than 30 years doing what a lot of you are doing now. I really enjoyed it. I covered Scott Perry, I moderated his debates until I was actually debating him last time I left because I think he's a congressman that needs to go,” Stelson said.PennDOT denied thousands of personalized license plates in 2025, many of which included expletives, sexual innuendos or referenced to social media trends. The dog, Winter, went unconscious and suffered serious injuries, including possible brain damage, after the beating, the district attorney's office announced.Five displaced, individual dies in driveway during Dauphin County fire: officials Five people were displaced following a house fire in Halifax Township Saturday.Firefighters said they arrived to a home in the 100 block of Longview Drive and dA man is facing charged for allegedly using a false check to exchange gold coins at the Simple Gold Exchange in Harrisburg's Colonial Park Mall.According to Low
