A Jane's Addiction's concert in Boston ended abruptly after singer Perry Farrell threw a punch at guitarist Dave Navarro.
The frontman's wife called him a "crazed beast" after Farrell hit the guitarist on stage during a show in Boston., Farrell walks toward Navarro as they perform the band's song"Ocean Size" and shoves the guitarist with his right shoulder. After backing off for a moment, Farrell approaches Navarro again, scowling, and begins shouting a few inches from his face as Navarro attempts to create distance between them with his forearm.
"Perry’s frustration had been mounting, night after night," she wrote. "He felt that the stage volume had been extremely loud and his voice was being drowned out by the band. Perry had been suffering from tinnitus and a sore throat every night. But when the audience in the first row started complaining up to Perry, cussing at him that the band was planning too loud and that they couldn't hear him, Perry lost it.
