Sean Dyche has shared an update on the fitness of his senior centre-back after missing both pre-season games so far
Everton believe James Tarkowski will be back in action during pre-season after the centre back missed his second friendly due to injury. The 31-year-old suffered a glute issue during the club’s training camp in Ireland earlier this month, causing him to fly home before the match with Sligo Rovers as a precaution. The centre back was present as Everton followed that draw with a 2-1 defeat at Salford City but was not part of the squad.
Yeah, we’ll see how the week goes but he’s feeling better. Myko is more precautionary. Ili is more precautionary - he’s just got a twist and felt his back a little. That’s settled. Gana is precautionary. Minor calf but we’ve got to be careful, he had a couple of them last season so we have to be careful. Jarrad’s slightly longer but he’s had a longer process because he’s coming back from that minor operation. Patto is a bit longer.
