Celebrity chef James Martin says he is going "on a little bit of a break" after he revealed earlier this year that he had been diagnosed with facial cancer. The former host of the BBC's Saturday Kitchen, who now fronts James Martin's Saturday Morning on ITV, is currently touring venues around the UK with his cookery demonstration and music show.
The tour is set to end at the London Palladium on November 12 and speaking at his show in Liverpool on Monday , James gave the audience an update on his health. It was revealed in July that the chef had first been diagnosed with facial cancer a few years ago, the Mirror reports.Speaking to the Liverpool crowd, the 51-year-old said: "On a personal note, I just wanted to say thank you for 30 years of television.
"I will be back fighting at the end of February but I'm going on a little bit of a break to get that sorted. I just wanted to say thank you for all your support and all your messages."
