2025 LB Eijah Melendez says Ohio State is in his top schools and will be one of his official visits next summer.
Melendez, a four-star LB out of Osceola High School , was offered back on Aug. 20 via Facetime, with his mother by his side.
With consistent communication and OSU projecting high ceilings, the Buckeyes have made him feel like a priority, and he too, has put them near the top of his national recruitment. Defensive coordinator Jim Knowles, associate athletic director of player personnel Mark Pantoni and defensive assistant Gerren DuHart have played a considerable role in catching Melendez’s eye. But it’s Laurinaitis who has really made a deep impression.
As with most of Ohio State’s recruitments, the competition is elite. SEC powers Georgia and Alabama as well as Miami are trying their best to keep his talents down South, but another program up North is trying to lure him in a different direction.
