DC Studios Co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran have been giving fans a bit more info regarding their reset of the DC Universe.
, praising the films and saying that those characters and portrayals aren’t barred from the new DCU .
“These four movies are terrific. There’s no reason why any of the characters or the actors that play in those characters are not part of the DCU. There’s nothing that prohibits that from happening,” Safran said. “We’ll incorporate characters from the past, but mostly we’ll cast anew.” The DC Universe’s first phase, called Chapter One: Gods and Monsters, will feature a multitude of different movies and television shows.
