He joins Peter Safran at Warner Bros. to guide the next era of the comic book franchise universe.
Gunn will be taking over creative development at DC Studios, while Safran will oversee the business and production side of things. In their official statement, they shared, “We look forward to collaborating with the most talented writers, directors, and actors in the world to create an integrated, multilayered universe that still allows for the individual expression of the artists involved.
Additionally, both will remain active filmmakers as they have releases in the pipeline including Gunn’sCurrent Warner Bros. Discovery CEO and President David Zaslav shared in a statement.
