Despite a stellar season, Cook was overlooked in favor of Baltimore Ravens' Derrick Henry, Houston Texans' Joe Mixon, and Indianapolis Colts' Jonathan Taylor, all representing the AFC. Cook had a career-best year, rushing for 981 yards and 15 touchdowns while averaging 5.0 yards per carry, leading the NFL in rushing touchdowns.
However, he won't be attending the Pro Bowl in Orlando, Florida. Cook's brother, four-time Pro Bowl running back Dalvin Cook, offered encouraging words online, suggesting that Cook's achievements in the upcoming weeks will speak for themselves. Henry secured his Pro Bowl spot with over 1,700 rushing yards, ranking second in the league. Taylor also made a strong case with over 1,200 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns. Some believe Cook deserved the Pro Bowl selection over Mixon, who leads him in rushing yards but trails in touchdowns and other advanced rushing statistics.
