James Cameron Seemingly Confirms Multiple Alita Sequels are in Development

Visionary filmmaker James Cameron has seemingly confirmed that he's currently developing multiple Alita sequels.

Earlier this year, producer Jon Landau confirmed work has begun on the next installment, which is expected to use the same technology seen in Avatar: The Way of Water.briefly addressed the project by seemingly confirming multiple Alita sequels are in development.

“On Avatar, I’m working in Wellington and Los Angeles,” Cameron said on the reason why he and his wife Suzy Amis Cameron decided to sell their home. “And on the new Alita: Battle Angel films, I’ll be working in Austin, so it just didn’t make sense for us anymore.”The 2019 film was directed by Robert Rodriguez from a screenplay written by James Cameron, Laeta Kalogridis, and Rodriguez. Back in December 2022, Landau confirmed ongoing discussions with Rodriguez about the potential sequel.
