A new casting update for the next James Bond movie is provided following rumors that Jacob Elordi has been offered the 007 role.
This news first broke in June 2025 after Amazon acquired the full creative rights to the 007 franchise from Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson. There hasn’t been a whole lot of official news regarding the new James Bond movie since then, as Villeneuve is first finishing Dune: Part Three before turning his full attention to 007.

There have, however, been numerous rumors regarding who could play the new Bond, with some of the more popular names who keep popping up being Taron Egerton, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Callum Turner.had been offered the role of Bond. There doesn’t appear to be any truth to this story, though, as no casting decision has been made — and, according to the new update, it still may be some time before fans get any kind of announcement.reports that any casting speculation or reports regarding the next James Bond is “nothing but noise” at this time. A “top talent agent” told the outlet, “Anything you hear on the Bond casting front is bulls–t until the script is delivered and the screen tests can happen. There is absolutely no one who is getting this role without testing for it.” It is known that Steven Knight has been hired to work on the script for Bond, but it’s unclear how far into the script Knight currently is at this time. Dune: Part Three is currently dated for December 2026, meaning it still could be a bit before any substantial 007 news arrives.
