Jake Quickenden says Joey Essex and Vanessa 'deserve happiness' after DancingOnIce kiss
Dancing On Ice viewers saw Joey Essex try to kiss his pro skating partner Vanessa Bauer at the end of their High School Musical routine this weekend.
Jake also gave his thoughts on who stood out to him the most this week, confessing that he thinks Carley Stenson, 40, and her partner Mark Hanretty, 37, have the best lines in the competition so far. Obviously, everyone is there to support their own people, but it was a really supportive environment. You could tell they are a tight-knit bunch even though they are competing against each other. It’s nice to see.
I also think Joey and Mollie were a bit undermarked. I thought their skates were really good. Mollie’s was clean, she skated really well. Maybe it wasn’t as good as last week as she did the headbanger before. Joey’s skate was fun, he didn’t really have any big mistakes. I thought they marked him quite low. He should have been marked half a mark higher.No one can do it like Diversity Watching Diversity was mad.
I don’t think Siva deserved to be in the bottom two, actually. I was quite surprised he was. He had a week off and the week before, I thought, ‘He could be in trouble.’ But he skated really well this week and the skate-off he did was really good too. He’s improved a lot! Did he get some extra practice with Chris and Jane or something? Because he came back fighting! I was really impressed.
I think Joey is just really enjoying himself on the show. Vanessa will push him, and keep him in check, he’s probably a bit like me who likes to mess around a bit.
