Doyal, who called his client “a super nice guy” while speaking to The Oklahoman, noted that Jake “was a people person” with “an amazing sense of humor.” “He made everybody laugh, and he made everybody feel welcome," he continued, referring to the artist as “an ambassador for Oklahoma Red Dirt music.”
His manager, for her part, called Jake “the most hilarious, hardest working, dedicated artist I have ever worked with in my career.”Jake was big in the Oklahoma Red Dirt subgenre of country music, having released his debut album,, in 2016, followed by his self-titled second record in 2020. The rocker brought passionate guitar riffs to his tracks, as well as infectious energy with a country wang — particularly on songs like his 2020 single “What’s Your Name?” as well as “Hurry Up & Wait.
