This should come as no surprise - her gift is in interpreting the confounding adult worldIf you, like me, were a child of the 2000s – or, for that matter, if you were a child of the 80s, 90s, or 2010s – you probably read at least one Jacqueline Wilson book.
The new book gives Ellie the opportunity to look back at her early adolescent problems with hindsight, but also to look at those adult issues from a new perspective. Perhaps she’ll be able to understand her father’s feelings better now. Perhaps, too, she will discover that worries about boys, friendship and body image don’t evaporate when you turn 18, 25 or 30.
