UMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party leader Jacob Zuma’s disciplinary hearing was set to take place in May but was postponed due to safety concerns.

MK Party members had vowed that they will come out in numbers to accompany their leader to Luthuli House in order to protect him.Earlier this year, ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula said Zuma expelled himself from the party after he publicly endorsed the MK Party in December 2023. During the launch, Zuma said he remains a member of the ANC but is not going to campaign nor vote for the party he once led.
