Jack Dawson, a punter on the Jacksonville State football team, was arrested Monday on multiple charges of assault against a former teammate, including one involving sexual assault, Troy Municipal Court Supervision Officer David Hennigan confirmed to the Montgomery Advertiser.
Dawson, who was served a summons July 29 at the Jacksonville State football practice field, is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 5. The first warrant, dated to October 2020, alleges that Dawson forcibly sodomized his teammate with a pool cue as he was lying on the floor at the Davis Field House, causing bleeding and bruising.
