Gamecocks set to play fifth straight non-Saturday game

Jacksonville State plays the last of five straight midweek games on Wednesday, though the Gamecocks have navigated the scheduling quirk very well all things considered.last Tuesday. The Gamecocks have won three of their four previous midweek games, and travel to meet Florida International for the final one on Wednesday.
Jax State fell out of first place when it lost 31-13 to unbeaten Liberty on Oct. 10, but secured sole possession of second place in the 9-team conference with a 20-17 win over Western Kentucky last Tuesday. The Gamecocks have three conference games remaining, at FIU Wednesday, at home vs. Louisiana Tech Nov. 18 and at New Mexico State Nov. 25.

Let’s go with Jax State.” “They’re a physical team, they’re a pretty athletic team,” Jax State receiver P.J. Wells said. “I know they have a lot of good athletes. This week we’re just going to play our game. We’re going to do what we do best and hopefully you get a good win.”
Webb took honors on offense have rushing for a career-high 146 yards and a touchdown and also throwing for 218 yards in the victory over Western Kentucky. Webb’s 364 yards of total offense were also a career-high.
