When the heat index reaches 108 degrees, cooling centers will open at all city libraries and community centers in Jacksonville.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The City of Jacksonville announced the opening of 28 community pools the public can take a swim in over the summer. when heat index reaches 108 degrees, but the public can visit any of the city's 28 pools and 16 splash pads any day of the week until August 4.
