Two Northeast Florida teams will be making their 11-man fall football debuts Friday, and while Beachside is hitting the road for a jamboree in New Smyrna Beach, Impact Christian will be starting off not far from home in the 904., will be participating in a four-team jamboree at Providence that also includes Harvest Community and Bradford. Impact is in its first 11-man season, competing as a Florida High School Athletic Association independent.

Union County , regional finalist in Class 1A, clashes with Baker County , state semifinalist in Class 5A. The game renews what was once a local rivalry, although the Fightin' Tigers and Wildcats haven't met in the regular season since Baker County's 44-0 victory in 2008.
