Jack Harrison’s immediate impact on Everton’s season came after the club’s medical team were able to get him back to fitness ahead of schedule. He recovered in time to make his debut in the Carabao Cup win at Aston Villa and has grown into the side as his condition has improved - culminating with his first Premier League start against Bournemouth The 26-year-old scored in the 3-0 win.
Reflecting on recent months, Harrison told the Everton website: “It’s been a tough period with my injury. Everyone at Leeds was great with my rehab, but changing over can be difficult at times. The staff here have been brilliant with me, helping me to get to the condition I’m in now – maybe a little bit before expected.
Harrison was also impressive in the win at Villa and his availability has coincided with Everton’s up-turn in form. His involvement has also required a degree of trust from Sean Dyche - who took the winger at his word when he claimed he was ready to play at Villa Park.
